Furnishings, facilities and beautiful details
show/hide textTaut’s Home can accommodate up to four people. Sleeping arrangements include two double beds, a fold-out bed and a crib. The house is lovingly equipped, not luxurious but comfortable. All furnishings and facilities (three rooms, kitchen and bathroom) have been chosen according to style and authenticity. The kitchen has a small dining area and a vintage working oven. Common amenities like a refrigerator, microwave or dishwasher have been carefully integrated into the historical furnishings. Heating and washing facilities are of the latest standard but match the overall design. Linens and towels are provided. Washer and dryer for guest use are located in the basement. Bicycles are available for rent. In winter, three old-fashioned tiled heating stoves are available to provide a pleasant, crackling warmth (instructions provided). Visitors interested in history will find a small reference library. The house has a free WiFi network. For self-catering guests there are restaurants, shops and supermarkets as well as a farmers’ market within easy walking distance. The only obvious thing missing is a television – which we deliberately left out.
